VMA

VMA (Vegetation Management Application) is currently in use with two electricity lines companies.

It uses a simple colour-based system to show the extent of vegetation encroaching on powerlines; this information is maintained by regular patrols with Windows tablets running a field version of the main application. Letters, jobs and other information are all also tracked within VMA.

The office application - shown here - has a useful dashboard showing the state of the network at a glance; but then supports, through an intelligent, clickable map, drilling down into the data for details and history.
